In a classroom, you may encounter nine different types of students.
On TV shows and movies, you'll frequently see some typical student characters. You may have observed that the kind of kids that attend high school and college in real life differ from those seen on television. We've identified nine different categories of students that you could see in a regular classroom.
"A Sleeper"
This person clearly possesses the ability to fall asleep at a desk, oblivious to the surrounding commotion. You can be envious of your classmate's additional slumber while you have to take notes and pay attention to the teacher.
It's strange how frequently sleepers go unnoticed. But you should know that there will be nothing to be envious about when a teacher suddenly comes up to a sleeper to wake him or her up.
This is one of the most prevalent student types you'll encounter in college. The explanation is simple: many students work part-time jobs that are difficult to manage.
"An I know It All"
You almost certainly have a student who raises his or her hand whenever someone asks a question. This person is always willing to retake a test or stay for an extra class. Don't roll your eyes too hard the next time this happens (we know you do it all the time) since you're not going to hurt yourself. Someone has to eventually draw a teacher's attention away from a sleeping student.
"An Outsider"
This individual is usually seen sitting at the back of the classroom, daydreaming or doodling in a notepad. Outsiders frequently have no or only one buddy, yet it appears that they are OK with this. If you believe this sort of person is too pessimistic, it's because they are extremely self-conscious. However, you can break through that shell to uncover a fantastic companion.
"A Golden Star"
We're not talking about Patrick the Star here, but the one who is adored by all of your teachers. You have no idea why, yet this person is always lauded. Such folks usually appear to be overly comfortable, and you get the impression that their homework is done by elves. Don't pass harsh judgment on them since you may not know how they truly feel.
"A Gadget Addict"
Sometimes you get the impression that this person's hand is stuck to a cell phone and will never be free of it. While the rest of the class is paying attention to the teacher, a gadget junkie can be seen browsing through his or her Instagram account or watching YouTube videos. Who knows, perhaps he or she is a future social media marketer.
"A Clown"
A clown is always ready with a joke to brighten your day. This person is usually seen fooling around and not paying attention to what your teacher is saying. When there's an awkward moment in a classroom discourse, a clown always has something to say to break the moment. You shouldn't be shocked if you see this student in a vine compilation video or a meme. Perhaps he or she might be found on our list of the finest college memes.
"An Energizer"
In the pocket of an energizer appears to be a time-turner. This individual manages to participate in sports, school activities, sing in a chorus, create posters for the next charity march, and assist every group at school. These youngsters simply have too much energy to sit around and do nothing. And, as you're attempting to quit procrastinating and get your schoolwork done, consider an energizer who's probably working on a new chemistry club model.
"A Space King or Queen"
If you're continuously being asked for a pencil, what the home job was, or even what day of the week it is, you're being spoken to by a space king (queen). You're wondering when this person or lady will be kicked out, but it never occurs. You're probably furious because a space king (queen) is notorious for arriving unprepared, but you still have an extra pencil on hand for this man.
"A Party Maker"
The individual who goes to so many parties that you wonder whether he or she ever sleeps. The majority of students are familiar with a party planner, and virtually everyone can tell you a great tale about a time they all went to a party together. It's not unexpected that party planners aren't the best students, but they frequently enlist the aid of their peers in exchange for a party invitation.
