Passivity, the obstacle of success.
Passivity implies taking things with levity or having an "I don't care attitude" towards issues, ongoing events around us, political participation, investment ideas, health information, and other areas of a social system.
It can also manifest in varying levels of disinterest even where matters that affect us are concerned. Passivity means the inability to take responsibility or the lack of inspiration and drive to achieve a specific goal or set of goals in life. One can show passivity in relationships, job-related matters, studies, etc.
Again, it can be seen in not taking actions when it is required, having problems and not seeking solutions, inability to think, emulate others, or take steps expected to address a thing.
Lack of participation in the things that others are doing, when on your own there is no equivalent action or corresponding activity is another way, passivity is expressed.
In whatever form, it comes, our concern is to condemn this behavior and draw attention to the fact that, it doesn't in any way help our situations in life.
When we find ourselves in a place, we should try and be active; where decisions are being taken we should not sit on the fence because it will not in any way help us to succeed. Some of us think we can avoid troubles by inaction but in reality, we attract more problems when we quarantine ourselves from the happenings around us.
The worse type of life that one can live is a life of inactivity. Without actions and activities, there can be no success. Therefore, we must learn to take conscious actions, calculate risks, and thought-out decisions in our lives. We must expose ourselves to information, new ways of doing things, and societal change, taking advantage of positive developments as they present themselves.
The way to approach life is to be daring without being violent, to be determined, and to put energy into every bit of the things we do.
A passive person is always overshadowed by others. We must therefore draw strong lines between being quiet, reserved, and being lethargic.
Having an independent mind doesn't mean that we should isolate completely from others. While exercising our rights to privacy, independent opinion, we should also create an allowance for association and acceptance of divergent views, while being ourselves.
Put together adopting the right approach to life, which is devoid of passivity, will assist in advancing our courses and ensure success. We must bring zeal, passion, seriousness, and good thinking into our lives consistently, even when events are dictating otherwise or trying to push us off our feet.
