Friendship Center, Gaibandha
The Friendship Center is an impeccable creation in the architectural industry. The Friendship Center is completely underground. The roof of the building is flat. Various types of grass have been planted on the roof. Seen from above, the picture of the ancient Buddhist monastery of Mahasthangarh is very much visible. Anyone who sees that will naturally be overwhelmed.
The unique specimen of modern architecture blending with nature won the ‘ArplusD Award’ in 2012 and the ‘Agakhan Award for Architecture’ in 2016. Its architect is Kashef Mahbub Chowdhury.
It is located on the side of Gaibandha-Balasi road, only three kilometers away from Gaibandha town.
