Good day readers, I hope you're doing well. Here's my new article. I hope you get value from this. ✌️✌️

Christopher Columbus kept two records of the distances travelled on his first voyage to the new world in Santa Maria. One was true, but he deliberately faked the other.

To alleviate his crew's fears that they were getting too far from home on an unknown sea, Colombus gave them a reduced mileage estimate. When or example, he told them on September 11, 1492, that they had covered 16 leagues, he recorded 20 in his secret log.

Though he didn't know it, Columbus' true distance records were overestimated by 9 percent on the average. His faked distances came out closer o the actual distances travelled.

When the crew found out about his deception, they threatened mutiny. Before they did, however, land and a new world appeared😄😄.

An example of someone who disguised with an evil plot in mind was King Saul in the Bible against David. I'm sure most of us know the story and how it ended, but for those who don't, I'll narrate. Stay with me😉😉

King Saul was the then king of the old Israel, with David being a young shepherd boy who always helped his father in the field to keep the sheep.

On a particular day, the enemies of Isreal came to challenge Isreal to produce a champion of war that will fight against their own champion. This particular taunt continued for days with the king also afraid of the opposition's champion. To cut the story short, David defeated the champion. This made the women of the land (old Isreal) praise David more than King Saul. King Saul became envious of David and plotted to kill him because he assumed that because the people praised David than they praised him, they might want to make him King over him(Saul).

For people not to detect that he was envious, he decided to employ some deceptions in his tactics. David was actually meant to marry Saul's daughter because of his victory over the enemy's champion, so Saul asked David to get a hundred foreskins of the enemies as a dowry in hope that David would be killed while getting the foreskins. But fortunately, David met the requirements and married the daughter. This made Saul so disappointed. Nevertheless he still continued chasing David in hope to kill him, which still proved abortive.

Someone said: It takes so much energy to lie. I wish people could grasp the sense o the freedom and liberation that comes from being honest and genuine.

We really can't know the intentions of others except God reveals them to you. And if God does that, you'll be surprised at how wicked the hearts of people can be,this does not mean that there are no good and lovely people around. The emphasy here is to careful around everyone. Only God can keep us from evil people. That's why it's so good to always pray, your little prayer can just be the factor that shields you from the tactics and plans of any evil person.

To your daily activities, add wisdom because it helps you to decide well. You can do well to ask for wisdom and guidance for every day.

We must be wise as serpents and harmless as doves while crossing the murky waters of this world. I'll leave you with these final words.

Be careful while in the presence of evil people.
