The word volcano connotes a mountain, a hill or simply a vent throu which molten lava or pieces of rock are ejected accompanied by dark gaseous materials in case of eruption.
Volcanoes vary in size, form and structure as well as the nature of their eruptions. The volcanoes are formed where there are weak spots or break in the earths crust through which magma moves towards the surface of earth 🌍.
Since the Philippines is saturated with hundreds of volcanoes(active or dormant). We have been experiencing volcanic activities for a number of time.A few of the most famous volcanoes in the Philippines are Mayon volcano with its perfect shape of a come and taal volcano both in Luzon and Mt. Apo in Mindanao and Hibok2x in visayas.
However, the less known Mount Pinatubo in Zambales prove to be the most destructive of them all, having had the worst volcanic eruption of the century that resulted in a worldwide atmospheric disaster after 611 years of inactivity..
This is very interesting. I have updated my Physical Geography knowledge. Philippines is not noted for volcanic activities. But now updated in my records. Thanks.
