From Proverbs 30, the writer says the way of the eagle is a mystery to him, but bird watchers have discovered some interesting things about the way of life of the eagle that can be of interest for us as Christians.
So like the eagle we should be high flyers and not be caught up with the vain things of this world, we should seek Christ who is above and not be entangled in sin. As God’s children, we ought not to be in the valley we should be operating from enviable heights, we have no business we the low places of life, we should be operating on the high places. From whatever low point you are right now may God take you to your high place in Jesus name.
Another way of the eagle is that as a bird of prey, the eagle has excellent vision and concentration. To catch a prey, the eagle will focus with great intensity to hit the mark and catch the intended animal. Without such tenacity of vision the prey may be lost!
As children of God, we must have a vision for transformation of lives and what we can or need to do to make it happen, we also should have a vision of what is God’s purpose for our life and what we need to do if this purpose is to be accomplished thereby becoming the persons that God has created us to be
It is still a vision but it is not clear and the problem with an unclear vision is that it can be misleading and when the vision is misleading, there will error in judgement, error in decision making and of course the outcome will be far from what is desired. As we see in the case of the man whose story was recorded in Mark 8: 22-26, the cure for unclear vision is to ask Jesus for a second touch.
Another way of the eagle is the way of the storm! While many birds run away from the storm, the eagle loves the storm! The eagle glides through the storm not expending too much energy, but uses the storm to soar above the clouds where there is safety. In other words, while others see the storms as a problem, the eagle sees the storm differently – it sees the storm as a means by which it can thrust effortlessly through the clouds to gain higher altitude that is the reason why the eagle is able to earn its reputation as a high flyer.
The number learning point here is that, your perception is very important, what you see to be a problem will end up being a problem, but what you see as an opportunity will end up being an opportunity, this brings us back to the subject of vision discussed above – it is important that you see correctly, when you begin to see opportunities as problems then you can be rest assured that nothing good will come out of it. The same thing that you see as a problem however is what somebody else sees as an opportunity and it greatly transformed their lives. For instance, all that some people saw in COVID 19 was the trouble it created for the whole world and for them, while some others saw the opportunities in the same COVID 19 and today their lives is better for it.
Rather than be afraid storms of life therefore, we should see storms as stepping stones to take us our next level, for example, the COVID 19 pandemic as pushed some to greater heights of financial success while it has brought some down from their height of success.
Challenges and storms of life will come to every child of God, but in every challenge, we have the assurance of God’s word. With assurances like these therefore, we can be confident that for us as children of God, storms are not show stoppers but game changers that lift us to higher heights of success. Shalom

1. Father, because I belong to you I have no business in the valley, whatever as kept me in the valley of life, I break away from it now in Jesus name.
2. Father, make me the see the opportunities in the present challenges confronting me thereby taking advantage of them to achieve greater heights in life in Jesus name.
3. Father please grant me a clear vision of what my pursuit should be this half of the year in Jesus name
4. Father touch my eyes and let my visions be clear in Jesus name
5. Father, whatever may be the storm that will rise up against me and my family in this half of the year 2020, riding on your wings we ride over them in Jesus name.
