You passing through troubles??? Read up!!!
Text: John 14:1
'Let not your hearts be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me.'
When we look at the situation of the world and our country today, we see a lot of things to make us sad. Jesus already told us that the world is characterised by tribulations but that we should be happy because He has overcome the world (John 16:30). Also, in the 20th verse of the same chapter He said even when we weep and lament and we are sorrowful, our sorrow will be turned to joy.
The troubles of this world remind us that the world is not our home so that we do not get too comfortable here. It makes us totally dependent on God and to make us pray for the speedy arrival of God's kingdom. Therefore, we must not allow our hearts to be troubled because a troubled heart brings about a broken Spirit(Pro 15:13) whereas, a happy heart is like good medicine and it helps to stay healthy. (Prob 17:22).
A lot of sicknesses come as a result of a troubled mind and there is no amount of worry that can change things. However, with the weapons of faith and prayer, we can have peace and experience the salvation of God in our lives, families and in our country.
By the help of the Holy Spirit, we can maintain a merry heart as joy is one of the fruit of the Spirit. If you are always sad, it will open the door to frustrations and depression. Because our place is not in the valley, we must maintain our position at the top where God has made us seat with Jesus in the heavenly places. Get up now, take your position and refuse to be trampled by the devil in that valley of sadness!
