Text: Heb 7:25
*'Therefore, He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him since He always lives to make intercessions for them.'*
The Bible makes a comparison between the old covenant and the new covenant. The old one had certain limitations so God decided to put an end to it. Jesus came as a Mediator and Priest of the new covenant. This new covenant is better because all the limitations of the old covenant are absent in the new one. This new covenant is perfect because Jesus offered Himself as the sacrifice for our sins once unlike the old covenant where sacrifices are made constantly by the priest for himself and the people. Yes, the sacrifices made by the priests were not just for the people but for the priests themselves but Jesus, our High Priest needed no such sacrifice because He has no sin in Him(Heb 7:26,27)
Apart from sin and dead works, Prophet Isaiah also reveals that Jesus also came to bear our griefs and sorrow and to bring us healing through the punishment He received(Isa 53:4,5).
Jesus brings us salvation from sin, afflictions and assaults of the enemy. This is made possible through His precious blood that is without spot or wrinkle. He is able to deliver from sin, sorrow, pains, giving us His righteousness and peace. He is able to save completely because He is God and He lives forever. Receive the complete package of salvation coming your way this day. It is a complete package of salvation because every good thing that pertains to life is in the salvation that Jesus offers. In Him, we are assured of rest from sin and the afflictions of this world.
