Many at times, we rush into things without thinking them through, in so doing, we end up regretting ever making such hasty decision in the future. There is a saying that “Had I Known is the enemy of human being.” That’s what we need to avoid. Rushing into things without proper preparations and planning, could lead you to a doom. We rush into things because we want to be successful. We rush into things because we constantly compare ourselves to other people’s success, so we don’t fall behind. We rush into things because we have negative emotions like fear, lack of patience, greed etc. We rush into things because our parents are tells us to. We rush into things because we feel guilty slowing down.
In order not to fall victim, below are some things you should never rush into in life.
Relationships
A new relationship is very exciting, getting to know somebody, with no pressure to ever see them again if you don’t desire. Once you step into a relationship, everything changes. Some people rush into relationship thinking maybe they are in love, while it just lust. Some rush into a new relationship in attempt to get over an old one. It’s like they have a hole in their heart they want to fill. Relationship is far more demanding emotionally, financially & time-wise. If you want to be in a relationship that will last, it is important you apply the brakes a little and take it easy.
Investing
One thing you don’t want to rush into is an investment. I’m a victim of this. Late last year, I was introduced into the crypto world by a friend. He told me about bitcoin and how he has earned from investing in bitcoin. After he told me this, I went to invest in bitcoin but unknowingly the site I invested was a scam site. I lost my btc. Now, what I should have done is to take my time to learn more about crypto currency before investing. But instead I rushed into investing and lost my money. So it is advisory to do further research of anything you want to invest. Don’t jump into investment because your friends or someone you know is doing well in it.
Big Decisions
There are times in life when the consequences of a decision are immense. We should not be quick to take a big decision without clear certainty of the future outcome. Situations like this, we should give it time, relax, let our emotions fade and then choose the option that is best or most logical.
Choice of Career
Making a career choice can be sometimes difficult. I’ve written an article on this, you can check if you want to know more. Most people rush into careers they know nothing about just because their friends are going into such. I remember when I was in secondary school and we were told to choose a course to study. Most of my mates were choosing a course because their friends are in that course not because that’s what they want to study. They want to be where their friends are. And at the end, some of them end up failing the course, same thing with choosing a career. Don’t end up your life doing what you are not good at simply because you want to be where your friends are. Try to know what best for you, think about what works for you. Be sure of what you are going into before committing your time into it.
There are more things you should never rush into like choosing friends, sex, writing, marriage etc. Whatever you do in this life, make sure you think about it before rushing into it. Patience is the key.
