I remember when taxi drivers used to wait in their parks for passengers to come to them.

They lived as gods and charged whatever they wanted. I remember when one of them insisted that I should pay N3500 for a journey that was less than 2 kilometres.

They could decide to cancel your order and refund your money if you pissed them off. Although their cars were old and rickety, they still did shakara on top.

Then Bolt, Taxify, Uber and the likes of them came on board and digitized the process of cab-hailing. The taxi drivers in the park ran out of business as people could book better rides, at cheaper rates, without stress, right from their mobile phones.
