Roscosmos, the Russian space agency, said several experts managed the process at the control center at the Baikanur cosmodrome.

Progress MS-26 delivered 2,518 kilograms (kg) of cargo to the International Space Station, including 580 liters of fuel, 420 liters of drinking water and 40 kg of compressed nitrogen

The ship's cargo hold contained 1,478 kg of various items and equipment, food for the crew, clothing and equipment for scientific experiments.

In particular, the station received a Perspektiva-KM test brick, which is made of polymer material and can remember images.

Astronauts will place it in the Poisk research module as part of future space missions.

In addition, the spacecraft also performed fullerene tests (growing fullerite crystals in a non-electric furnace) and Orbit-MG tests (testing technology for evaluating sealed enclosures for ships and space stations).

The cargo ship carried organic chocolate produced at Russia's Red October factory to the space station, Roscosmos said.

Progress also sent a gift to the family of space station astronaut Nikolai Chub.
