Its been four years already since the last vacation of my partner. Because of the pandemic he didn't make it. The prime minister also of Singapore didn't give them an assurance that they can come back if they grab their vacations.
Unfortunately my partner make a right decision not to go home or else he will lost his job. In his age also it's too difficult to apply another job at abroad. He will be 50 on November.
Yesterday he tell me that on December he can have a vacation but his plan is supposed to be on September. It's baby kulot's 4th birthday. He can't make it again but he don't have a choice.
The company having a shutdown this coming October and his the one will operate. As what his team said "we will die if your not around". That's the best asset of my partner when it comes to his work. That even his manager don't know how to operate.
Then I tell him the company must increased your salary. Your too much useful to them that even you want to go home, you can't make it. My partner is a MILLWRIGHT.
Thanks to the internet connection we can have a communication with each other. He can see how baby kulot grows. Days flies so fast ika nga. His so excited to go home. He really have a vacation every year for 40 days. Then I always fetch him at Davao Airport but since I have a toddler now I'm not sure if I can do it. My partner can understand also how difficult to bring a toddler while travelling.
