Changeling is a 2008 crime mystery film set in 1928 starred by Angelina Jolie that entails the story between a relationship of a mother and a child. The movie starts with Christine Collins (portrayed by Angelina Jolie) realizing her child not able to come home and went missing. She then reports the case to the Los Angeles Police Department but she got rejected because the case is not yet 24 hrs on count.
The case went for 5 months and upon doing self investigation, she then discovers that there are some boys also went missing months ahead or late upon the case of Walter Collins (his son). Apparently, the police department did not liked the actions taken by Christine because she humiliated the competence of the cops. The police found a way to stop Christine actions which is changeling.
However, Christine is persistent and tells the public that the boy found by the police is not her son.Because of this, she was imprisoned because of her actions. She got support by a sheriff, secretly investigating the case of the missing boys.
The sheriff finally discovers about a criminal who is fond of murdering boys. One boy survived and narrated the story of how they were treated during that time.
Personal Review:
This is one of the movies I will never get tired of watching over and over again. This is based on a true story. Aside from the story itself, Angeline was superb (although she is known for that as always). The production was amazing, it really fits as to how 1920s looks like in history. The wardrobe, the supporting characters gave justice to their roles. Angeline actually have won an award and the movie was awarded best Motion Picture.
If I have to rate this movie, it would be 10/10.
I wonder who the killer is? Is it a serial killer? What's his/her motive in abducting and killing?
