Communication to inform
This involves passing an information to the audience with the intent of educating or imparting knowledge
Communication to persuade
Persuation attempts to influence people's beliefs, attitudes, intentions, motivation or behaviour in relation to an event. Persuation is achieved through written or spoken communication that conveys information, thoughts, emotions, logic and augments
Persuasive communication achieves four things. Which are;
- Stimulation
- Call to action
- Increase consideration
- Tolerance for alternative perspectives
