Hi, and welcome back for the final installment of this first run of how to live on crypto. Today I’m going to try to show you how to pay your bills using cryptocurrency.

This is the most difficult part of living on crypto. If you can’t do it where you’re at, you can always sell some for cash to pay bills if you’re unbanked, or use a crypto-based debit card if you’re banked. Or, if you have a friend who wants to buy crypto, have them pay your bills and compensate them in crypto.

Phone/Internet

First, Bitrefill works for prepaid phone/internet.

Go to Bitrefill.com, scroll down to the “refills” and “bills” section, and select and option that works for you, from bundles to phone PINs to prepaid phones and more. You may need to enter which phone number you want to refill.

General Bill Pay

Next, for general bill pay, there are a few bill-pay services around the world.

For Europe, try Piixpay or Bity. For Canada, try Bitcoin Well or Bylls. For Australia, try Round the Block or Living Room of Satoshi. For Brazil try Kamoney. Whatever region you’re in, make sure to keep checking if a bill pay service is available to you.

Unfortunately, in the US there aren’t any good bill pay solutions right now, due to regulations.

Rent

For rent it’s much more landlord specific, but can also be paid with the same bill pay services.

Ledgeview Commercial in New Hampshire rents plenty of apartments in crypto, for example. Try to convince your landlord to accept it, but make sure you get them set up with a conversion service like Uphold or Coinbase.

And that’s it! This is a journey not a destination, do what you can.

Make sure you stay subscribed because I’m doing more series, including how to EARN crypto and how to decentralized your life, and more. See you there!
