Solitude Under The Blazing Sun

**July 24, 2022** Yesternight, I fell asleep late as I needed to do some tasks online. Ever since this Summer break started, my plate is always full and I often tend to extend my working hours. And I hate the fact that my resting time is becoming lesser and lesser. I have this goal this year to try my best to sleep as early as half an hour before eleven at night. But this never-ending grinding always breaks this goal. And I don't know when will I be able to achieve it. The unfair and exhausting part of adulthood. Prior to hitting my bed last night, I was told by my boss that today, Sunday, will be a very hot day. So I must bring an umbrella and drink more water when I step out of the house. I set my mind to ignore everything online today, so I could sleep longer as I badly needed it. I got a call of nature early in the morning, and I hate it as my body seems to stay awake once it gets up from bed. Gladly, as I hit the sack back and closed my eyes, I drifted off to sleep surprisingly. I was awakened by the hot temperature brought by the blazing sun late in the morning. Sweat was dripping and I felt thirsty. Indeed it was a very hot day. As I checked the weather condition on my phone, I seemed to be in a tropical place with a 33° temperature. And the highest was 35° at noon.

As I stepped out of the house past one in the afternoon, the sun was blazing at its finest. With my umbrella on, I walked basking under the sun and headed to the main city.

Before heading to my destination, I stopped over at KFC to fill my gurgling tummy.

Then ordered a large bottle of iced green tea in a tea shop to quench my thirst. Into my favorite park, I went and looked for a shed.

There are a lot of beautiful spots to stay and unwind in this huge park, and one of them is by the lake overlooking a beautiful pavilion.

You wouldn't get tired of roaming around as all corners are relaxing. There are a lot of trees where you could stay under their canopies without worrying about getting tanned by the scorching sun.

The greenery by the lake is my best spot as it offers a perfect scenic view while listening to the soothing sound of the falling water on the side of it, along with the chirping birds around.

I turned the relaxing music playlist on to get a better experience. I owned the place for a while. No one was there but only me. It gave me a sense of solitude and for a moment, I forgot about my toxic work and I just let tranquility recuperate my exhausting mind and body.

The best view in this spot isn't only the lake, but the butterflies that are gracefully flying from one bush of flowers to another, lush green trees, and the beautiful sun that is slowly settling as time faces dawn.

I wish I could extend the day. I wish it is always a holiday. But it seems impossible only in my fiction story. At the end of each day, I would bid goodbye to it, face the dusk again, and prepare for another hustling new week. Time check, 6 in the afternoon, done writing then I hit the publish button.
