Last May 29,2020, a Bitcoincash (BCH) advocate @Roger Ver shared a video on twitter of a Hong Kong vending machine which accepts Bitcoincash and Ethereum as payment but not Bitcoin.

The reason why Bitcoincash is supported by these vending machines because BCH transaction fees are much cheaper than BTC.
As we all know, (probably not) well known companies like Fiverr, Expedia, Reddit, Steam, Stripe, Paypal, and Dell all dropped BTC support over the last few years due to it's expensive and unreliable transactions.
Some netizens and BTC supporters got upset of Ver's tweet. A famous influencer and crypto trader Tone Vays wasn't impressed by the video and suspects Ver's involvement of that matter.
Another famous crypto trader Willy Woo agreed to Vay's assessment. Woo claimed it was common for “lower tier altcoins to pay to get access to ATMS” and thinks the video raises red flags on centralization of the crypto space.
However, Ver denied any involvement with the Hong Kong vending machines choosing Bitcoin Cash over Bitcoin. Ver told cointelegraph the day after which silenced the netizens regarding his tweet.
The topic on fees and network speed have been an issue in recent years among the crypto community.
Bitcoincash thus able to process transactions more quickly than the Bitcoin network, meaning that wait times are shorter and transaction fees tend to be lower. The BCH network can handle many more transactions per second than Bitcoin network can, which is the reason why many companies chose BCH over BTC.
P.S. Tomorrow I will look for vending machine here in Hong Kong which accepts BCH. 😁
