Good morning read stars once again, I didn't get the chance to greet y'all a happy Sunday yesterday but I don't think it's too late to do that now, I hope you all had a great Sunday and went to church, yesterday's service was really a blessing and I wish you all were at that particular service, the pastor emphasised more in how to lead,a lot was said about being a good leader and how good leadership can take one so far away and I really enjoyed the sermon and that's the reason why I'm writing on leadership today also, so that I won't be a selfish person and just take the sermon without sharing it to my readers here on read.cash, before I continue, let's take a look at my sponsors...

The reason why I keep delivering

Leadership is a virtue that cannot just be seen in any individual, leadership doesn't come by age, it doesn't come by stature, it doesn't come by fame or position, neither does it come by seniority. Now, who is a leader?

A leader is a person that has been put in a position to handle the affair of such an organization or let me say gathering or a group of people. In short, a leader is an overseer, someone that's appointed to oversee a group of people. A leader must possess some qualities, all these qualities are not to be shrugged off in the quest to appoint a leader, we can remember the case of Joseph, he was even the last child of his father among 12 of them and he was the one appointed by God to be leader, so it doesn't matter how old or how big you are, a leader must be a leader.

Qualities of a good leader

1. Vision

There's a saying that "if a blind man leads another blind man, they shall both fall into the ditch". This is what a leader does, a leader must be able to foresee what's coming and make arrangements so as to save his followers from falling into the ditch. The vision of a leader must also align with that of his followers because if they have different visions, they can only do little together and that isn't what a good leader want.

1. Compassion

A good leader must be compassionate, not in the sense of being too available to be ridiculed but a good leader must be able to care for his followers, he must know about the welfare of his followers, the well-being of your followers is meant to be too priority for a good leader because without the followers, we can't have a leader.

1. Responsible and dependable

A good leader must be someone that one can lean on, someone that can be trusted, a person that doesn't gamble with his words. Being dependent also depends on the kind of people you're leading, know your followers real well so that you would not be hurt when they do their worse.

1. Discipline

No doubt, a good leader must be disciplined, his No must be No and yes, yes. His judgement shouldn't be bias and based on people that are most likely older than him or even bigger than him in position but everyone should be treated equally under a good leader.

1. Courage

2. Tolerance

3. Patience

4. Flexibility

5. Creativity

6. Of all of the above mentioned points, a good leader must be a good listener.
