Examination malpractice

Good day to all readers here, I hope y'all had a very good day, mine was stressful but I'm happy that I'm back from where I went to, even before this heavy rain started, I'm writing on examination malpractice today not because I've been in such an act before even though I've actually cheated before 😂...

As I was saying, I won't really call my case of cheating examination malpractice because I was just all caught in it unintentionally. It happened in my secondary school final exams, it was in fact the external exam, our seniors had come to give us some orientation on how to pass the exams without cheating, they told us to read like we've not prayed and pray like we've not read. They also told us about cooperation before we enter the exam Hall, we were asked to help each other in answering questions that are likely to come out in the exam. But before the main external exam, even before our last year in school, we had an external exam to test our knowledge and our preparation for the coming final exams. It was not compulsory but I also registered to have a taste of how the final exam would be, when the exam started, I was added to a WhatsApp group named "TONY K SOLUTIONS".

My innocent self thought it was a WhatsApp group for probably brainstorming and I used to join them in solving the questions which I taught were past questions, we'd solve them together a night before the exam but to my surprise, I'd meet the exact question in the exam the following day, it became suspicious and I asked them where they got the questions from, they'd tell me that some teachers arrange it for them, so I kept quiet and after the exams, and we were all waiting for our results, they all got their results and I was the only one that didn't get mine, my result was seized because I got A1 all through, I was called to the examining body's office to defend my result but I couldn't, the result was seized and I had to face the consequence by writing the final exam compulsorily.

This was exactly when I knew what I was in for, my friends had passed all their papers so they didn't need to focus too much on the final exam, they were just catching cruise and I blamed myself for not leaving that group immediately after I was added. I started my preparation towards the final exam so that I won't be tempted to involve myself in any form of malpractice, I read day and night like there's no tomorrow. People came by to caution me and told me to take care of my mental health, so I decided to balance things up, but I still used to read more than I played and relaxed.

The examination date started drawing close and I started hearing them mentioning some other WhatsApp groups, I turned my dear hear to all of them and did my own thing my way, the examination timetable finally arrived and my most feared subject, mathematics was the last on the table, I knew I wasn't so strong at maths and I knew I needed help but I was quite confident about my other subjects. The exam started and all my papers were good, at least I was flowing with the questions and I was sure of my A's but as soon as it almost reached the time for mathematics exam, people started panicking, I thought I was the only one that had issues, not knowing that all my friends that I thought cleared their results actually had issues with their maths, so everyone was so serious during that maths time and people started pairing in groups and solving questions like no other, as the exam approached, the preparations got even hotter and I had to join them so that I'll not miss out.

The examination date finally arrived and I didn't even go online at all so as to be focused on the examination I wanted to write, I got to school as early as ever and already met people in groups solving questions even more desperately as ever, I had to mix up with them and join in solving questions, we solved all the questions as soon as possible and we're even asking for more and for a second, another thought came to my mind and was like "what of that was the exam question?". I asked but no body answered me as they were all punching their calculators, innocent me was thinking they were solving but they were actually smuggling the solved answers in and at that point I knew I had gotten involved again, I couldn't help it because it was already in my memory and I took it as fate, but as we got into the exam room and the questions were shared, the questions were totally different and the questions that came out were also to my favour, I was so happy as I kept solving the questions with ease.

The examination finished and people started complaining and cursing the man that gave them the wrong dubs. When the result was released, I got 8A1's and one B3 in mathematics and I graduated the best student of the year while the others that depended on the dubs had to rewrite the examination for the third time. It was at that point that I knew that EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE IS A TRAP TO DELAY...
