The Ruins in Talisay

It was 19th century when Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson built his ten bedroom Italian mansion in the memory of his wife Maria Braga Lacson who died during her pregnancy in their 11th child. This Mansion is located in Negros Occidental. During world war 2 Filipino guerillas employed by Us armed forces intentionally set the building on fire in order to prevent Japanese Invaders to use the building as headquarters. After decades, they restored and reopened it to the public though the mansion has no roof, windows, interior walls and much floor divided the first and second stories. Today, the Ruins is a picturesque tourist destination. It is popular venue for weddings and other social events.
