Learn to be Independent
Are you an independent person or dependent person? The **definition** of **independent** is someone or something that is free from the influence or control of another. An example of **independent** is someone who lives on their own and supports themself. While, Dependent means that **person** who depends on or needs someone or something for aid, support, favor, etc. Filipino's are well-knowned as being a family-oriented. We depend so much to our family. In some race, the children that reached the age of 18 years old and above can leave their household and live independently. They are trained to live without depending on their parents which I think is a good way on enlightening their vision about life itself. Filipinos on the other hand, even if we reached the age where we can live independently we still stayed to our parents side. This shows how family -oriented Filipinos are. Some may think it in a nice way but some may not. Being dependent with our family is not a bad thing. We sometimes come to a point in our life that we need to depend on our family when thing are getting worse or when we can't handle some things. We seek for some help with love, care, and support. Being too much dependent with our family is also a bad thing. We rely to them so much that we can no longer stand on our own. So in **conclusion**, we can rely or depend to someone/family but we must **learn to be independent**. Remember, ***even our shadow abandon us when the dark comes.*** Thanks for reading! 😊

'tis a good topic..the two go hand in hand,I mean there are times where dependent is applied so does with independent..however being independent should weigh higher
That's true. Being independent teaches us to be stronger and braver. Thanks for your insight!
Although I am a family-oriented person, I will more likely to be more independent than to be dependent on them I want to decide on my own.
That's good! But make sure that when things becomes tough never hesitate to depend on your family. 😊
