Agroecological zone as applied in FAO studies is defined on the basis of a combination of agroclimatic and pedo edaphic and land scape characteristics . The paraticular parameter used in the definition focuses attention on agroclimatic ,adaphic, soil requirements , nature of landscape ,and management system under which the crops are grown . Each zone has similar combination of constraints and potential for land use and serve as a forces for the targeting of recommendation design to improve the exsisting land setiution either through increased food production and limiting land degradation .
