The first case of COVID-19 in the Philippines was recorded on January 30, 2020. As the number of cases of the virus continues to rise, a state of calamity has been declared and quarantine and lockdown, orders have been issued in various parts of the country. When this phenomenon emerged, life became complicated for all aspects, in the field of education it became difficult for all to manage the teaching and learning, the education system needs to adopt the rapid change brought by the pandemic.
I was in my second year college that time, and it's our second semester when this pandemic rise. We had a hard time coping with the situation but our class continued until the end of the semester. I can say that I didn't really learn much on that semester.
September 24, 2020 started the first semester in our third year in college, a lot of changes and many difficulties we encounter on this set up but we can do nothing but continue our studies, first week we are oriented about our thesis writing on what are the possiblle topic that we can do research and the consequences of not completing the research. We look at it as a problem because it's really difficult for us to attain this thesis writing, there are many questions about how we can do this when we don't even allowed to go outside, where groupings are difficult, plus the difficulty of internet connection a lot of problems we are facing during this time, everything is new to us but still we are required and encourage to make this possible. And take note we have two thesis course that time. We manage to finish the other one in just a first semester and we continue to work on the other one.
First test each team member needs to come up with three possible research topics and needs to complete chapters 1-3, see...as if it was individual research first. After each member has submitted their individual research we will choose the three most, best and possible and attainable research topic considering that there is a pandemic. after selecting three topic, the group will have another deliberation on the three selected as to which research has existing literature reviews and studies and selecting one, each group should present a plan for the research to be done, include here the time table.
Proceed to write the review of related literature and studies and what is even more difficult is that our professor did not accept the RRL we did he said that it was not a for college students work and that was returned to us with a failed mark. And of course we had to repeat it, this time around we really watched how the RRL was done right and luckily we were able to make it.
take note if we do not pass the rrl we will not be allowed to proceed to the next task which is doing the introduction, because our professor is doing the leveling where it is stated there who cannot and who can proceed.
Fortunately, we managed to find a way, after doing the introduction we proceed to Conceptual and Theoretical framework that we worked on for several months. In this part we took almost 3 months because we can't not find a framework that would suit to our research.
After making chapters 1-3 time for getting the approva of our thesis professor for our colloquium, almost 3 times that our thesis are not approved we almost lose our hope at this time but fortunately there is still 1% strength left and we did it, our paper is approved for colloquium.
But it doesn't end here, we need to be able to have video discussion of our chapters 1-3, and we admit that it's not yet polished but we need to face the colloquium and fight our thesia. Because that was our last chance to have a colloquium.

I still remember the day, some are busy in preparing their food for noche buena but for us we are making a video for our colloquium presentation.
January 2, 2020
Colloquim day, we have a very short preparation. On our colloquium there are questions that we can't immediately defend because we can't find any sources on it, that time we thought that we will make it, but of all the groups presented in the said event we are we were the only ones who passed, even though the grade was not that high atleast ww did it. But a lot of changes was made in our thesis, from chapters 1-3 to polish it, the hard part here is our title was also changed and then the direction of our research will also be change but the thing is that somehow our paper had a direction.
Looking for Thesis adviser
We searched for a thesis adviser, we message them on their email accounts and of course there is no certainty if they will answer Yes to us, because before they commit there are many conditions that we need to answer, fortunately, we found sources on the internet about their other questions and of course the others are personal matters.
After finding a thesis adviser proceed to editing from chapters 1-3, this time our thesis adviser is the one who is responsible on checking on the editid version of our papaer. The first edit was immediately mark as failed, it was returned to us, [it was just an essay he said], the reason is that the others don't help in editing the manuscript, but I still I didn't get mad at them because of the situation we faced. I let them realize that they need to help and we should build a unity in our group.à
And luckily after a second time on editing the chapters 1-3 it being approved by our thesis adviser and we proceed on making survey questionnaire it is easy for us to do this because it is not new to us, then we look for validators 3 validators to be exact (Language, Construct and Content) after editing the questionnaire through the comment and suggestions of our validator, we proceed to survey, and this is the most painful part because no one wants to answer our survey , we can't find a respondents because other says that they don't have time qhile other don't have internet connection and others don't have totally load
I propses a solution which is to give a 50 pesos load each respondents just to answer our survey and glady it was a nice solution.
Actually we did not reach the total number of respondents and just looked for a source that will support on the number of respondents we had.
we are glad that we manage to had a respondents and somehow our survey was already done, but the painful part here is that we can't decide how and what to do on the data we collected until our Thesis teacher called an urgent meeting and discusses all about the Final oral Presentation. and we are surprised that we only have 1 week to finish and polish our Thesis.
Proceed to chapters 4 and 5
We only have 7 days left before the end of the defense schedule and here we are starting making chapters 4-5. You know what we are 5 members in the group but we are only 3 who did chapters 4 and 5, we don't know where we can draw strength, we only slept here for almost 2-3 hours just to finish this chapter, because in the university memo we can't get Practice Teaching if we can't defend our Thesis and we get an IND grade. The other group at this time had already finished their defense but my geoup which I lead is still struggling and still needs to go through approval and polishing. But luckily, it only took us two days to finish the 4-5, it was like a magical experience because in another chapter it was a bit hard for us to finish and polish it for a few months, but this time a chapter that needs months just to make it we only took a few days and we pass the chapters 4-5 to our thesis adviser and then we just made a few changes. And then boom thesis accepted ready for mock-defense and final oral presentation.
Happy to say that we made it, even though we encountered many problems and defeats we did not give up.
I want to give credit to our thesis adviser who tirelessly supported and guided us in our thesis journey.
Now we are in the process of Language editing and hopefully by the end of this month our thesis is ready for hardbound/bookbind.
