The political self is that the conceptually discrete categories of ‘inner’ and ‘outer’ in reality constantly interact, shape, and inform each other. Politics is the activities associated with the governance of a country or other area, especially the debate or conflict among individuals or parties having or hoping to achieve power.
When we hear the term politics, we usually think of the government, politicians and political parties. Most of us hate politics because it is where we can find majority of the corrupt politicians.
They are abusing their power to advance their personal interests rather than the betterment of the country. They promised a lot of things before the election but none of these was fullfilled when they are already in their position.
It makes me happy when I discovered that there are still politicians who serve our country with all their hearts and not because of personal interest. Just like our President Rodrigo Roa Duterte amidst the covid-19 and the people who hates him, he is still doing his very best to do his job for our country's welfare.
However, it makes me unhappy everytime I heard the news about some politicians who are running away the peoples money because it is already a very big help to the people, if they only use the money properly. It can also lessen the poverty that our country's biggest problem right now, if only the politicians become honest in serving our country.
On the other hand, I value most in my political self is the people because they have the power to put those deserving politicians in their position. They are the one who choose the future leader of our country. As for me, I dont have reasons to hold back on discovering my political self because I don't have any interest in politics. I'm already contented to see those honest politicians who are doing everything just to make our country better.
Nonetheless, I used President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as my motivation because I can see the perfect definition of a good leader in him. Even though he talks offensively, he still have the love and support of every Filipinos.
In conclusion, we should always choose a leader who have the characteristic of a good leader because they are the one who will hold the country's future. And if they are already in their position, let us always remember to support them instead of criticizing them.
