Cryptocurrency mining
Crypto-currency mining is a process in which various types of cryptocurrency transactions are verified and added to blockchain digital accounts. At the time of each crypto-currency transaction, a cryptocurrency mining process is initiated to verify the authenticity of the transaction information and to update the blockchain ledger involved in the transaction. Completing this process involves solving complex mathematical problems, the person or computer involved in solving these mathematical problems is usually called a minor. The first person to solve this mathematical problem will receive some cryptocurrency (commission) as the winner.
A successful crypto-currency mining requires a miner to compete with other cryptocurrencies and requires a lot of computing resources to solve quickly. Since this type of cryptocurrency mining requires a lot of computing processing, cybercriminals use the processing power of the infected computer to infect the computers of ordinary computer users with cryptocurrency malware.
Typically, cybercriminals can infect the computers of ordinary computer users using any of the following methods, such as:
1) By downloading software from unreliable / fake download portal.
2) Through spam campaigns / phishing emails. By persuading the computer user to open the document file in their phishing email or to click on the link.
3) By visiting the infected web site.
Thanks I don't get too much since I mentioned it was nice to know what it is.
