Filled with greenery, we have villages all over the country. Our villages are like green green lands. The green nature of the villages gives peace to the mind of any human being. The culture and economy of our country has developed around the countryside. The countryside is the lifeblood of this country. But the beauty of the countryside is getting lost day by day due to our negligence. Rural people are suffering due to scarcity and poverty. The people of the village are now moving to the city to live a little better. As a result, village after village is going to be depopulated.
What is rural development
Rural development refers to the basic needs of rural people, elimination of unemployment, employment generation, increase in agricultural production, balanced distribution of resources, economic and social development. Rural development is the solution to various problems and improvement of quality of life through active participation of people in rural areas.
Ancient countryside
In ancient times the form of the village was like this. This village was like a fairy tale. Happiness, peace, health, prosperity, joy, festivals were the main features of the village. The people of the village had round paddy, full cows, pond full of fish, festive mood, cottage industry and sympathy and love for each other. In ancient times, muslin cloth, jamdani sari, earthenware, nakshikantha attracted the attention of people outside the country. The village was green and lively in prosperity.
Present rural situation
The rural nature of Ruposhi Bangla has become filthy, dirty today. There are no round paddy and fish in the pond today. The festive atmosphere of rural life is endangered today. Due to the lack of repairs, the ponds are filling up, the festival of Nabanna is no longer seen in the houses, the melody of the flute of the shepherd in the field is no longer heard. The chirping of birds is getting lost in the trees. The people of the village are dying due to lack of financial security and lack of basic necessities.
Reasons for backwardness
Lack, illiteracy and superstition are at the root of the backwardness of our villages. Lack of employment has increased unemployment. In the past cottage industries were prevalent in the countryside, people used to earn a lot by working in cottage industries. But in the present modern age, the cottage industry is facing destruction as it cannot compete with the mechanical power. Due to the increase in the price of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, farmers are not able to benefit from agricultural production. The dilapidated condition of the village roads is causing problems in marketing the products. As a result, they are being forced to sell their crops at lower prices. Farmers are turning away from agriculture. The countryside is lagging behind due to lack of government and private assistance.
Urbanization of rural people
In the present era, rural people are moving towards urban areas. Poor farmers are running towards the city due to lack of work and food in the villages. Lack of adequate educational institutions and quality education makes students urban today. Due to the lack of good hospitals and doctors in the villages, people are constantly rushing to the cities. Faced with losses in agricultural production, farmers are going to the city to do business. The day laborers in the villages are not getting jobs and are taking jobs in the mills in the cities. Due to natural calamities, the people of the village are becoming extinct. On the other hand, factories and industrial establishments have sprung up in the city, there are plenty of job opportunities for workers, so people are coming to the city to work. Quality educational institutions are being set up in the city, the country's renowned hospitals and doctors are also found in the city, and modern technology has also spread in the city. So people are moving to the city in the hope of all opportunities.
