Historic March 7th Speech

March 7th is a historic day of the beginning of a new horizon for the Bengali nation. On this day, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave direction to the future of the nation at the historic racecourse ground. He said- “When I have given blood, I will give more blood. Yet I will release the people of this country InshaAllah. This time the struggle is for liberation, this time the struggle is for freedom. ”

Liberation War and Bangabandhu

It can be inferred from his speech on March 7 that he gave instructions to prepare for war in advance. On the night of March 25, just before his arrest, he declared independence. This is my last message to you. From today Bangladesh is independent. At his call, the entire Bengalis jumped into the liberation struggle.

State Leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib

Bangabandhu was first elected a member of the Provincial Council in the 1954 elections and served as the Minister for Cooperatives, Agriculture and Forests in the cabinet of Sher-e-Bangla Ake Fazlul Huq. In the provincial cabinet of 1956, he was the Minister of Industry, Labor and Anti-Corruption. He was elected leader of the parliamentary party on the basis of a single majority in the 1970 National Assembly elections. But when Yahya Khan did not want to relinquish power, the war of liberation started. He was elected the first President of Bangladesh after independence. He later became the Prime Minister.

Return to Homeland and Country Building

After being imprisoned in Miwali Jail, Karachi, Pakistan for 9 months during the War of Liberation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation, the vibrant soul of Bengalis, finally entered Bangladesh. The great leader came to the racecourse ground with millions of people. He gave directions to build the country. He ran from one end of the country to the other. He sought the cooperation of the international community. He dreamed of a democratic state free from exploitation where everyone would live happily ever after. And for this he has worked tirelessly till the last moment of his life.

Bangabandhu in the World Assembly

Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was a very outspoken and funny man. Beyond the borders of the country, he was equally admired in international meetings. He was the first to address the UN General Assembly in Bengal in 1974. He received the highest honor, the Julio Curie Award, given by the World Peace Council in 1972.

Farewell to Abela

The worst day in the history of Bengal was 15 August 1975. Some great vampires killed the great man whose finger was on the heels of which millions of people jumped into the war at the risk of their lives and tarnished the soil of Bengal. Some of the beasts of Bangabandhu's dream of golden Bengal wanted to destroy his dream through heinous act like father killing, but it did not succeed. Because his dream riders are still awake today.

Last word

Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's generosity will keep him alive forever. Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro said: "I have not seen the Himalayas, I have seen Sheikh Mujib." Standing on the shores of the conclusion, it is necessary to say - "As long as the river Padma, Meghna, Gauri, Jamuna flow, so long is the glory of your Sheikh Mujibur Rahman."
