I thought we all claimed to be one. Then why is he or she not moving with us? Why are you guys avoiding that innocent kid?

Is it because he stutters? Or because he stinks? Is it because he's got an oily hair?

Discrimination shouldn't be the affair of this world, now. We are in a civilized world, and we are expected to embrace each other, help and trust each other. Not discriminate.

Discrimination, is like a ticking bomb, it can end a life at any time. I'll share a story with you.

A boy, ended his life because of discrimination. He wasn't dumb, but could not speak well. He stutters. To make a simple statement, was a real issue.

He couldn't start going to school early, due to his condition. He was home-schooled for 2 years by his mother.

When he eventually started going to school properly, it was a difficult time. First day of school, was terrible. He was a bad stutterer. It took him a whole minute to Say his name.

He was called up in class, to introduce himself. He was confident as he strode to the front of the class, to introduce himself. He was expecting a warm welcome, but he was disappointed when the class erupted into laughter.

The teacher was equally disappointed in the student's outbursts. They were silenced and instructed to apologize. They did. But that was not the end.

This innocent little man, continued to get series of mocking names. They called him dumb boy, sometimes, mimicks the way he talks, they'll say, "m-my-y na-a-a-a-mmm is r-r-r-r-r-", then laugh at their expensive jokes.

They turned this boy into a complete dumb boy with their comments. A brave stutterer became a timid dumb boy. He hardly speaks in class. But, had faith in his diary.

One day, in his diary, he wrote:

"The boys in class made fun of me a lot today. I don't tell my mama about it anymore. I just tell her school is going well, and that I made new friends.

But, it's all a lie. I'm alone. No one wants to relate with me. I'm dumb.

Today, a bully in class spoke rudely to me. He called me a product of a dumb mother and a deaf father. I was pained. He said, I combined both traits of my parents.

I know my mum isn't dumb and my dad isn't deaf, yet, I couldn't speak up to defend my parents, if not myself. I felt like a loser. I couldn't stand for my parents, despite their various defense.

I actually feel useless and hurt. So, dear diary, what's the essence of living a life full of regrets and pain. My parents are trying, but I've completely lost faith in humanity. How will I cope when I get to high school, if things continue this way?

Instead of shaming my parents, I'll think I'll end their sorrows"

It wasn't up to a week, when the news of this innocent lad went viral. Discrimination, killed him, Indirectly.

To end with, avoid discrimination. Embrace peace, give encouraging words to those in need. Never discriminate.
