A photo taken by East-West photojournalist Jiban Ahmed has gone viral on social media.
A rain-soaked couple is kissing each other in front of the TSC premises of Dhaka University. Many applauded, but most of the comments in the comment box were frustrating. Most of the people are washing the two boys and girls with blasphemy. As if they have done something anti-state or anti-social by kissing each other in broad daylight!
The couple is being criticized for dragging religion and socialism, some have said that religion does not support this issue. Do they know if the young people in the picture were followers of any religion or not?
Some say, kissing in public is inappropriate with the culture of Bangladesh! I would like to ask them, since when has it been part of the culture of Bangladesh to lay hands on women in public? Since when has the theft of ponds by corruption become an integral part of our culture?
Nachiketa may have sung for these people many years ago - 'Kissing in public is never a crime in this country!' I imagine myself in the place of that boy or girl. They did not kill anyone, they did not seize anyone's property, they did not kill anyone's money, they did not break anyone's hands and feet with a hammer, they did not touch a teacher, they did not throw water on a girl from a truck while going to a political rally, they molested a girl inside the bus Didn't. Yet why do they have to pick up so much hatred? Saying they kissed each other in broad daylight?
First, kissing, or kissing in public, is not a crime under Bangladesh Penal Code, unless it is a public nuisance. Even if the kissing couple is of the same sex, there is no problem if they do not have sexual intercourse in public. The problem is, most people around us think that kissing is a part of sex or an early part of it. That's the problem. The fact that a boy or a girl can kiss each other in love does not enter the minds of many. You can say, this is in Europe, in America, why in Bangladesh? Do you know how far the borders of Europe and America have expanded in this age of globalization? That's why you only find obscenity in kissing, love escapes your attention.
Someone is telling stories inside and outside the house again. Do not do housework or outside! Do two people have to go through four walls to express love? This is the society that has built a dam on that road. If you are not self-sufficient, there is no 'right' to marry a boy here, if you pull those stories, the main content of the writing will be lost. Those who show these excuses, they only see the desire inside the kiss. They can't tell the difference between kiss and sex, for them love and sex probably mean the same thing!
I want to ask those who say this, it is good for you to watch porn videos at night, it is good to tease girls on the street, if you can touch a girl in the crowd, you go around, you sigh when you see Katrina Kaif's waist swaying, bribery Do not shake your hand, you go to the number two manipulative smile, why only two children kissed in public, it became haram? They became criminals? Strange hypocrisy!
The expression of love is different for each person. Some people want to show their love to the person they love by showing it to everyone, while others want to say it secretly. Neither of the two tribes is sinful, neither is wrong. You can't point a finger at someone unless someone is causing harm to you, your community, or your country. Did the couple commit the crime by kissing in public? How will I tell my loved ones how to love, what will be my expression, why do you fix that? They did not force anyone to do anything. Nothing was imposed on anyone. You are not forced to look at them. Then why are you abusing your family?
Thank you.
Good love
