I tweeted something about my past— and it changed my life.
Twitter is one of the main applications that you can pour your heart into. Write what you want, and share what you want. Others may support you, but most of them will bring you down. Most of them are women.
Writing about something that hurt you, and tweeting it isn’t new to the community. It is a way of self-release. A way of freeing yourself from what damaged you. But in my case— it damaged me more.
I shared how my past relationship was bad. how it affected me mentally, emotionally and physically, and how it affected the people around us. And how I got back up— and now, more happy than ever.
The whole point of that tweet was to raise awareness for people that are in toxic and abusive relationships. To make a SAFE SPACE for girls and boys that have been through the same things I have. To let them know na they should be respected and loved. To let them know na there’s something better.
I poured my heart into it, only to be brought down by my my fellow female. Who has no idea what I’ve been through.
you know what? Don’t mind them. They have no right to tell you what hurt you or what doesn’t.
you have the freedom to tweet, the freedom to tell others what you’ve been through. You are strong, don’t let people tell you otherwise.
Such an experience to share and not only women go through with that. It just a matter how we handle those experiences... And we all learn from that..
