Suriname is a small little country in South America. However, I would not consider this tiny little place undeveloped. Why? Because they recognised one of the largest scams that steals hundreds of dollars from you every month.
What is this scam?
Well, let me start you off. Have you ever been to a supermarket? The vegetables and fruits are expensive right. Yes. But why?
Even though fruits and vegetables are the easiest of all things to procure - you spend heaps of money on them.
Couldn't you grow them at home and be just as sustainable. That's it. You could. But you won't. Maybe because you're so reliant on the "fresh markets" for them. These prices are inflated, and they in actuality are way more expensive that if you were to grow them at home.
This is a trick. The prices are hyper inflated and it only costs you a few cents to grow a potato, but you buy one for nearly a whole dollar at Tesco or Costco. Why?
Do you know where they were grown? Do you understand how much money you could save by not purchasing these vegetables.
