PLASTIC
AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY
The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Service, which since 1985 has been working with the team of cardiovascular surgeons at the Favaloro Foundation in post-surgical infectious complications, expanded the service in 2008 with the incorporation of a wide spectrum of surgeries.
The medical team is made up of professionals with vast experience in the specialty, some of whom have been working continuously in plastic and reconstructive surgery since the 1970s. With regard specifically to reconstructive surgery in chest infections, they have one of the largest casuistry in the world with a significant number of patients operated on in different centers since 1985 (1400 cases until 2010, with an average of 70 surgeries per year).
