The Pediatric Cardiac Surgery team is at the forefront of pediatric heart surgery. We treat each patient with personalized methods, tailor-made based on the characteristics of their heart. CARDIO-ONCOLOGY OFFICE
The use of different cancer therapies (chemotherapy and / or radiotherapy) have improved cancer survival, but they can have side effects on the heart and the entire cardiovascular system in the short and long term, if there is not adequate monitoring and control during its administration. For this reason, a specialty dedicated to this problem was created, Cardio-oncology.
The Cardio Oncology office is dedicated to all patients who are about to start, or are undergoing cancer treatment with chemotherapy and / or radiotherapy.
The objective of this is to have an initial evaluation and follow-up by the cardio oncology team to provide the patient with the best cancer treatment and reduce possible complications at the cardiovascular level.
