Negative Marketing and Our Psychology

The main purpose of marketing is to understand the mind of the customer and to offer the product accordingly. It is a great achievement for any company to be able to occupy a place in the mind of the target customer in this process.

Close your eyes. I came to my ears and said Kokakala. You don't have to bother too much, the Coca-Cola logo and the black drink will float in front of your eyes. In other words, they have branded their products in such a way that they have been able to get into your mind. You can't forget even if you want to.

In many cases you have to work harder to spread the product in a healthy way. And in this case, the logos of many companies, brand names that you have never known, that work quickly in the case of permanent residence in your mind, negative marketing.

Let's give some real examples in this regard. Recently a movement has started in the name of boycotting some channels. If you visit their YouTube channel, you will see that the views of their recent videos have increased 10 times more than any other video in some cases by going to boycott. Has it hurt them too much? Or has their boycott spread to them for free?

Dear Members. I am writing today about marketing even though I have a higher degree in this field. However, I do not write this topic because many people do not understand the truth.

Let me explain a little. Not only Bengalis, but all the nations of the world are working on it. However, in some cases it is higher and in others it is lower. Again, in some cases, this commotion lasts a long time. In some cases, it is short-lived.

As Bengalis, you know no less than me what our characteristics are.

If we segment people in their psychological thinking, you will find that the boycott will be 2-5% of the total number of people who have taken the matter seriously and are determined to follow it for a long time. And the rest of the people may be knowingly boycotting 20% -30% but they will forget unknowingly after a while. And for most people, it's a boycott, so I'm doing it. After two days, when this issue changes and another issue comes up, you will unknowingly forget about the boycott.

The scary thing is here. Those who have never heard of a product before will be familiar with the name of the product because of boycotts or negative marketing. The company may be temporarily at a loss, but in the long run this expansion will increase their sales.

You don't believe me for the sake of emotion, do you? Just let 6 months. You will see that their products will be sold in all countries of the world. And this time I have promoted their products myself.

Psychology is a very bad thing. What a bad thing to say. I will not name any specific product in my post. I don't want their name to be spread through me. However, there is no problem in taking the name of the person. Those of you who read media news know that media plays very well with the minds of ordinary people.

Suppose a Bollywood heroine. End of career. Not getting a good job. You will see that at this time they make a beautiful rice which is beneficial to the common people without our understanding. That heroine or celebrity applies the psychology of negative marketing to you. For example, such a heroine has posted a picture on Instagram where it is seen that her stomach is quite fat. As soon as the media will start making news, such a heroine is likely to have a child, who is her husband? Is he finally getting married? Such a heroine did the same in secret love. With this kind of news, he came to lime light again.

Suppose again that he is involved in a debate with the intention of sustaining his career. Befas deliberately comments. They know very well that this will lead to a storm of criticism. This is exactly what they want.

The person has decay. There is an end. But that is not the case with multinational companies. They may come to limelight by doing negative marketing at the individual level. Again their demand is created. But this is not the case with the company. Companies benefit more.

Let's take the example of Coca-Cola again. The call to get rid of Coca-Cola in this country will still get a lot if you turn to Facebook. But do you think the Coca-Cola business has taken off? Your free promotion has boosted Coca-Cola sales. Did not reduce.

The game of exclusion in open media can be played for a temporary period. You may have hated and shared a news story that may have reached more than 2,000 people on your friend list. As a mutual friend, you promote their products to 5,000 people.

Then when you see that this issue has been cut, or that the company has done a good job of getting your mind on what you like as your personal passion, religious passion then you will see that you can easily go to the store and buy the name of the company you have never heard of before. The issue is temporary. Realize it. Don't forget that after one year, everything will be better for them.

What should be done then. I personally want Made in Bangladesh products from the shops from which I shop. I avoid foreign products. Just because of this mentality, the products of France, America, England, India are out of my market list. Remember, all of the countries mentioned have a lot of jobs that don’t encourage me to buy their products. There are many other countries in Europe that fell into such a boycott in 2004. Can you swear we don't buy their products now? Not buying?

Our emotions do not allow anyone to create business opportunities. This indirectly benefits them. I will not take the name of their product. I will not share their product logo. The primary target is to buy local products. I have no chance to cheat here. We will not give anyone a chance to play with our psychology.

The benefits of negative marketing are often such that even if you spend billions of dollars, you won't get as much spread. Let's not expand them for free. Keep yourself safe. Risk towards domestic products. They will be at greater risk than the boycott. Boycott is a tactic, do not involve yourself in anyone's propaganda on the occasion of boycott. If you buy a product from the market, you will first look back at the country made. Then decide. And we don't have to worry about omitting any specific product. Make it a habit. That is the real benefit.

Quite interesting. The market is ruled by offer and demand, but in growing and capital oriented economies, brands encounter heavy competition every instant, so they end up using the 'big guns'. It's a war and everything is valid (even if the product quality is not the best), so negative marketing works, they won't say no to it. Then know it, live with it. But thanks on your insights.
