Global warming; our impact to it
Global warming is the rise in average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation. The first use of the term in a modern scientific context was by W.S. Gilbert in The Mikado (1885): "I’ve heard there’s been a shocking heat the last year or two, But they say that it’s getting cooler now."
The term "global warming" came into common use in the 1980s, to describe observed warming of the Earth's surface. This term was further popularized by an article, "Global Warming Has Begun" in The New York Times , on 12 January 1988.
Because climate change could result from a number of causes and since climate also varies over time, many scientists prefer to use terms such as "climate change" or "global warming" when referring to human-caused changes in global temperature. There remain uncertainties as to what, if anything, has generally caused these changes throughout the decades.
Global warming refers to the rising average temperature of Earth's atmosphere and oceans and its projected continuation. Most of the observed warming since the mid-20th century is very likely due to human-induced emissions of greenhouse gases, and continued greenhouse gas emissions will cause further warming. Scientific understanding of global warming is evolving
We have seen changes in our earth this year with tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, and earthquakes. Who causes these disasters? While it may seem like God is angry, I am here to tell you that some of these disasters are actually caused by global warming.
Most of our planet is covered with water, and the oceans are a very valuable resource. They produce oxygen and help regulate the Earth's temperature, so one might think that it would be illogical for us to be destroying them. We pollute them with plastic, oil and all kinds of other garbage, and this is causing the death of marine life on a massive scale.
Global warming is a term used to describe what happens when the atmosphere heats up due to excess carbon dioxide in the air, which if left unchecked will cause our planet to experience irreversible changes in weather patterns and rising ocean levels.
One of the main causes of global warming is the emissions produced by factories and vehicles, which are filled with pollutants that contribute to climate change.
You might think that our planet is massive enough to withstand this damage, but you would be wrong.
What we are doing is creating an artificial "greenhouse effect" that is causing irreversible damage to the ozone layer and all other living organisms on Earth. We have been warned about this for decades, but nothing has been done about it because we allow big corporations to profit from this problem every day.
We are told by scientists that if we want to preserve anything resembling what we live in today, we need to start lowering carbon emissions starting now.
