English as a library language

Library language simply means the common language of literature. English is considered as the library language because we use it to comprehend the contents from all over the world.

English is a language with a cultivated culture of letters and literature. It became a dominant global language in linguistic terms because of its massive vocabulary widespread induction and eventual education of people all over the globe. Gradually over the centuries, English developed as a language of culture and scholarship. The imperial and colonizing nature of the British empire and the economic and technological development of the United States catalyzed the growth English language.

There are uncountable literature works from various vernacular languages all over the world. To understand and share these contents a commonly understandable language is inevitable. No other language is suitable for this purpose than the mighty English.

As we know the language of the internet is English, even in this modern era to obtain more information we must have a good command of English. Similarly, Newspapers, journals, technological and scientific terminologies depend on this language.

So the term 'Library' refers to the vast amount of content and literature whether it is written, printed or electronic. English serves as a common language of the medium for widespread knowledge and it paved the way for cultural transmission of these contents across the globe. So English is the most suitable candidate to carry attributes of a library language.

English as a Link Language

Language is a medium of communication which help to exchange ideas. People across the globe vary in culture, geography, traditions, attire, tastes, and mainly speak different languages. But in today's world learning English has become very important. It is one of the most widely spoken languages and considered as an International language. English makes communication easier and effective. Hence it will pave way to pursue higher education and better employment opportunities.

English is the native language of only a few countries. For the others, it is a second language. But it plays a significant role as a Link Language or a Connecting Language between countries.  Even in countries like India where multiple languages are spoken, English serves as a 'bridge' for exchange of ideas.

For the young generation, English has become the passport to success and prosperity. When a number of people come together to a single platform, they need a common language for better interaction. This need is satisfied by English having the status of an international language. It helps people to get connected to the rest of the world.

Generally English is used as a link language but it is the 1st language for many well educated people across the globe. English language is a tie that helps bind the many segments of society together. A common language links various people, groups or ethnicities that do not share a native language.

English as a trade language

The use of English Language for cross border communications is important in many areas of trade ranging from tourist to the trade in financial services. This is in order to build a stronger regional economy through freely and openly communicating with one another.

It proves that more than 2.16 billions of the worlds population speaks english and hence it can be perfectly defined as a Global language or lingua franca . Hence, It an be defined as an international language even though it isn't, the language that is spoken by the most.

Traces includes the steel trade and cotton trades in industrial periods from  urban centres of big cities such as Manchester, Munich,etc. To the Rural depth of the countryside world, english played a major role in communication.

It extends upto the latest business deals includes weapons,branded products, etc. for example we heard about the coalition of collaborated vehicle brand an Italian-American company named "JEEP".

English also stay responsible for the development of the country and welfare of people all around the world, We would able to see that the safe negotiation of USSR and USA  over a great and revolutionary invention of internal combustion engine by Rudolf Diesel in 1858, hold tremendous amount of historic value. Many and more such incidents had frequently happened as the time passed and for the sake, these transactions are done with the help of English and also with help of translator.

Moreover, the product in each and everyone's hands that is mobile phones, watches, etc. each parts are from different parts of world, like the steels are mainly from decan plateaus, glases mainly from belgium & scandinavian countries, electric workers are from Japan, Korea, etc. And all been practiced smoothly with a proper channel of communication.
