Martin invites Nakamura to a meeting in New York to discuss his payment system. Nakamura is hesitant but decides to go, hoping to convince Martin of the benefits of a decentralized financial system. Martin, however, has other plans and tries to intimidate Nakamura into giving up his project.

As Nakamura walked into the boardroom of Martin's New York office, he couldn't help but feel nervous. He knew that Martin was a powerful man, and he was unsure of what to expect. Martin greeted him with a cold smile and gestured for Nakamura to take a seat.

"So, Nakamura, tell me about this payment system of yours," Martin said, his tone laced with skepticism.

Nakamura took a deep breath and began to pitch his vision for a decentralized financial system. He explained how the blockchain technology behind his payment system could revolutionize the way people transferred money, without the need for intermediaries like banks and governments. He talked about the benefits of a faster, cheaper, and more secure financial system that could be accessed by anyone with an internet connection.

Martin listened intently, his expression unreadable. When Nakamura finished his pitch, there was a long moment of silence.

"That's all very interesting, Nakamura," Martin finally said. "But I'm afraid I don't see the value in it. The traditional banking industry has served us well for centuries. Why fix something that isn't broken?"

Nakamura could feel his frustration rising, but he kept his composure. He knew that Martin was not going to be an easy sell. "The banking industry may have served us well in the past, but times are changing. The world is becoming more connected, and people want faster, more efficient ways to transfer money. My payment system is the future."

Martin leaned back in his chair and steepled his fingers. "I'm sorry, Nakamura, but I just don't see it. In fact, I see your payment system as a threat to the stability of the financial industry. If you don't shut it down now, I'll have to take legal action."

Nakamura's heart sank. He had hoped that he could convince Martin of the value of his payment system, but it seemed that the banker was not willing to listen. As he left Martin's office, Nakamura knew that the fight was far from over.

He returned to his hotel room, feeling defeated but determined to keep pushing forward. He knew that he needed to find a way to get his payment system out into the world, despite the opposition from Martin and the traditional banking industry.

Nakamura spent the next few days going over his plans, trying to come up with a new strategy. He knew that he needed to find investors who shared his vision for a decentralized financial system, people who believed in the power of the blockchain and the potential of his payment system.

Finally, Nakamura felt that he had a solid plan in place. He contacted several venture capitalists and arranged to meet with them in Tokyo to pitch his payment system. He was nervous but confident that he could convince them of the value of his project.

As Nakamura prepared for the pitch, he felt a renewed sense of excitement. He knew that this was his chance to make his dream a reality. He was ready to take on the traditional financial system and change the world of finance forever.
