Engineer and tycoon Elon Musk predicts a new date for the first manned landing on Mars.

The South African-born tycoon responded to a question on the Spece hub account asking his followers to predict the date when humans would set foot on the red planet.

Elon's answer was: ''by 2029''.

The idea of colonising Mars is not new to Elon Musk, who aims to build a self-sustaining city of one million people there by 2050.

This idea might make sense because the first city according to Elon Musk's reasoning is that they will be glass domes.

The road won't be easy for his team and some will even die, but Musk wants to accelerate and make the milestone in this new space race.

The SpaceX space centre wants one million people from all over the world to follow his idea of reaching the planet Mars by 2050 aboard a Starship.

At first they will live in glass domes, but then the planet will be transformed like the earth.
