Tribalism is the act of identifying with a particular group or tribe and hating those who are not part of that group. Tribalism is often based on race, ethnicity, religion, or politics. And while it is natural for humans to form bonds with others who share similar characteristics, tribalism can lead to bigotry, discrimination, and violence.

Hate, on the other hand, is a feeling of intense dislike or hostility. Hate can be directed towards an individual, a group of people, or even an entire way of life. Unlike tribalism, hate is not based on any sort of shared identity. Instead, it is rooted in fear, anger, and a desire to see the object of one's hate destroyed.

Tribalism and hate are both dangerous and destructive forces. They can tear apart families and communities. It can lead to tribal war where scores of casualties are often recorded.

In recent years, there has been a rise in tribalism and hate. This obviously has led to many people feeling alone and isolated. The rise in tribalism and hate has also led to an increase in violence.

So what can we do to stop this trend? We can start by understanding why it is happening. We can also try to build bridges between different groups. And we can also stand up to hate when we see it.

“When choices do not start from one's own ethnicity we defeat tribalism.” ― Abhijit Naskar,

It is only by coming together that we can hope to put an end to tribalism and hate.

1. Tribalism creates an "us vs. them" mentality that can lead to conflict and division.

2. Tribalism can cause people to blindly follow a leader or a group, without questioning their actions or motivations.

3. Tribalism can lead to intolerance of others who are different from us, whether it's in terms of race, religion, or political beliefs.

4. Tribalism can make it difficult to see things from another person's perspective and to find common ground.

5. Tribalism can make people feel like they need to conform to a certain way of thinking or acting, instead of being true to themselves.

In today's world, it's more important than ever to come together and work towards a common goal. Tribalism will only create division and hinder our ability to achieve anything.

As humans, we learn on a daily basis even whether we like it or not. Knowledge is a respecter of no tribe, religion or political border. As an Igbo man, I can learn from a Yoruba man, a Yoruba man can learn from a Hausa man.

If you decide not to learn a skill or profession from another tribe and chose to learn it from your fellow tribal person, chances are that your tribal person might not have the information you seek. what if the information is required urgently, that is how you would miss out on opportunities simply because of tribalism and hate that shouldn't have existed in the first place.

It is no secret that the world is full of hate and tribalism. We see it every day in the news, on social media, and even in our relationships. But what can we do to break free from this cycle of hate and live a life full of love and compassion?

The first step is to become aware of the hate that exists within us. We must recognize that we all have the capacity for hate and that it is often based on irrational fears and prejudices. Once we become aware of our hate, we can start to work on overcoming it.

The second step is to understand that everyone is different and that we should respect those differences. We must realize that we all have different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs and that we should not let these differences divide us. Instead, we should use them to learn from one another and eventually develop our respective communities for the greater good of everyone.
