The United States now incarcerates more people than any other country in the world, including China. U.S. prisons are so overcrowded that they are forced to release criminals early or keep them in prison after their sentences are complete just to make space for new prisoners.

The United States represents less than 5% of the world population, but we account for 25% of the prison population in the world. The problem is growing worse by the year. On average, one in three black men will be incarcerated at some point during their lifetime.

Most Americans are aware of this fact, but it is not something they want to discuss. The problem has been ignored and swept under the rug for decades. It has become a huge issue that needs to be solved before it grows any further.

People enter prison with a sentence, but they don’t come out with a plan. Most of them have no idea how to get back on their feet and reintegrate into society.

The third method is gathering a group of people who are familiar with the prisoner and asking them to encourage him / her.

The success of a released prisoner depends on their performance.

First of all, the released prisoner should be assigned to an appropriate place, and his/her behavior should be well-controlled.

Secondly, he/she should be educated about the laws and regulations of the society, and should meet with those who have a positive influence on him/her.

In Tennessee, for example, there is a program called Project Return that helps former prisoners reintegrate into society. The Department of Corrections works with counties to train and place them into jobs immediately following their release from prison.

By doing this, it leads to a lower rate of recidivism and a drop in the number of inmates returning for parole violations.

As humans, we are constantly reminded to stay clear off crimes since crime does not pay. However, what then can we say about prisoners that was accused wrongly and charged for a crime they never committed? Some were blackmailed by officers of the law that was supposed to protect them in the first place.
