Inconsistency may be the most insidious and frustrating habit a person can have. It undermines our best intentions and makes it difficult to achieve any level of success. We all know people who are inconsistent in their personal lives, and we’ve likely seen the havoc it can wreak. But what about inconsistency in business?

Inconsistency can refer to a number of different things, depending on the context. In terms of business, inconsistency could mean that you are not reliable - that you make promises you can't keep, or that you change your prices or policies frequently. This can cause customers and employees to lose trust in you, and make it difficult to maintain relationships with either group.

In terms of physical health, inconsistency could mean that you are not consistent with your diet or exercise routine. This could lead to yo-yo dieting or sporadic workout habits, both of which are detrimental to your health.

Whatever the case, we have establish that inconsistency is not a good place to dwell if you really want to become somebody and be an authority in your chosen niche. Lets look at the 10 unforgivable sins of inconsistency that have existed with humans for years now. The list follows below in no definite order.

1. Not following through on what you say you will do. Many of us are guilty of this. We tend to start with so much fire and zeal, but for some reasons best known to us, we somewhat quenched that fire in us and go back to mediocrity.

2. Not being reliable – always being late, cancelling appointments, not delivering on promises.

3. Changing your mind or mood without warning, making it difficult to know how to please you.

4. Being undependable – not being there when you are needed, not sticking to agreements.

5. Being inconsistent in your own behavior – one day doing one thing, the next day doing something else entirely.

6. Not being transparent

One of the biggest sins of inconsistency is not being transparent with your followers. When you’re constantly changing your story or your goals, it makes it difficult for people to trust you. Be honest with your followers and let them know what you’re working on and what you plan to do in the future.

7. Not having a plan or strategy.

8. Failing to research your target audience. People who are inconsistent are impatient as well. because of this impatience, you wont do the required task to get the much needed results. The required task in this context is getting your target audience. Truth is, you wont bother to get the target audience because you know for sure that you will follow them up and dish out contents consistently to them so that they will know you, like you and trust you and want to always do business with you.

9. Not creating valuable, engaging content for your audience. One thing about inconsistent is that they fail to understand that their audience are human beings who need constant relationship. We live in a very busy and noisy world where the attention lifespan of an average person is less than a minute so as a business person or a coach or whatever niche you are in, you need to be consistent, otherwise, you will lose many clients to your competitors. I know you do not want that. Do you?

10. Giving up too soon-Think for a minute about many things you are enjoying today-Television, mobile phones, computers, groceries, clothing, shoes etc. ask yourself. Will I be enjoying these things if the creators had given up during the course of creating these items? These creators contributed their to the development of the world, they didn't sink back to self pity or mediocrity even in the face of impossibilities. You should have same mentality. when you are not getting the best results at first trial, keep up the consistency. The journey is everything and not the destination. even after the best results, you still have to be consistent to keep getting best results and become the sweetheart of your customers and patrons.

There you have it guys, The 10 unforgivable sins of inconsistency. unforgivable in the sense that, you should be careful not to commit these sins, because you might not get a second chance to right the wrongs or even if you did get a second, it might be late, the world might have already moved on from that stage.
