There is a clear disconnect between education and schooling. Though the terms; education and schooling are used interchangeably, they are entirely different.

Education is about acquiring knowledge, learning how to think critically and apply knowledge to real-world situations.

Schooling, on the other hand, is a system that primarily focuses on the process of attending classes and learningfacts, gradings and standardized testing.

This disconnect has led to a growing education crisis in the world at large.

One of the main reasons for this disconnect is that schooling is often more concerned with conformity than with individuality.

Students are taught to conform to the system instead of being encouraged to think for themselves.

This has led to a stifling of creativity and critical thinking. Students are being ill-prepared for the real world and the workforce.

There are many factors that have contributed to this disconnect, but one of the most important is the way that our schools are run.

Our school system is based on an industrial model, where students are treated like machines that need to be churned out at a certain rate.

This approach to education is not effective and does not meet the needs of our students.
It is obviously clear that something needs to be done to reform the education system. We need to find ways to bridge the gap between education and schooling.

This can be done by incorporating more individualized instruction and by encouraging creativity and critical thinking.

Only then can we hope to create a generation of truly educated individuals.
It is no secret that many students view schooling as a chore rather than an opportunity.

In order to foster a love of learning in students, we must first show them that education is about more than just attendance and good grades.

We must show them that learning can be enjoyable and that it can be useful in their everyday lives.

To bridge the gap between education and schooling, we need to reform our approach to education.

We need to focus on creating an educational system that is designed to meet the needs of our students and prepare them for the real world. This will require a shift in our thinking about education.

For many students, the transition from schooling to education can be ddifficult.  There are many ways to encourage students to embrace education.

Let us explore some practical ways to bridge the gap between education and schooling.

By applying these methods, you can help your child make the transition to becoming a critical thinker.

1. Help your child find a purpose for learning.
2. Encourage your child to question everything.
3. Teach your child how to think for themselves.
4. Encourage your child to apply what they learn.
5. Help your child to understand that learning is a lifelong process.

-Make learning relevant to their lives. Students are more likely to be interested in learning if they can see how it will be useful to them in their everyday lives.

-Encourage them to ask questions. Encouraging students to ask questions shows them that you value their curiosity and that their input is important.

-Don't force them to learn. Let them explore their interests and follow their own curiosities.

We shouldn't just give these students these practical tips and leave them alone. We ought to constantly remind them about it through music, television shows/movies, motivational speaking, seminars and conferences and what not.

If we do all these, then students would grow to better persons, contributing their quota to societal development and the world at large.
