Is BCH the currency of the future?
Dec 21, 2022
There has been a lot of speculation lately, mainly by myself, about how BCH is underperforming in the market.
The reality is that the crypto world has suffered a lot due to everything that is happening on the planet today. Wars, inflation, a politically divided world, extreme fear of losing everything, poverty, hunger, and unemployment. It is hard to keep hope alive that a highly volatile digital currency will be the future.
Those who are new to the crypto world, when you first introduce them to it, will always ask about price volatility. Imagine that you tell your friend to buy BCH at the current price and after a few days, or even hours, the price increases by 10%. The smile on your face will be everlasting. But what would happen if the price collapsed 10%? His face will not be pretty, even though you would have probably already explained everything to him and he would have accepted volatility as real. What happens is that it is never easy, except the first time you experience losing money due to a market crash.
So how do we put up with it? I just think we're all crazy. As much as it is said that BTC is king, we know very well that technologically speaking BCH is much superior, but that does not matter. BCH has been looked at for years as a failure, an error, something that should not have existed, and it is the main reason why its price hardly increases in the market, even when everything is increasing. It hurts a lot to see the price hovering around $100 and with a tendency to go much lower if things don't start to improve. So is it worth holding this coin? This is what I have been thinking since the price was over $500 and I have never changed to USDT. But everything has a limit, and I think that not only me, rather we are all reaching it.
Everything depends on the BTC rising in value in order to see the behavior of BCH. I hope he doesn't disappoint us again as he has us used to. I understand all points of view, but the reality is that nobody wants to lose their money. If you buy BCH with your FIAT money, the last thing you want is to see it lose its value over time, at least not so sharply. It doesn't matter if BCH is the best, with all its benefits, what good is it if the price drops 20% in a month? You lost money, that's the reality.
TheRandomRewarder told us a few days ago that he had given his last tip. Giving free money forever is not something viable for anyone, even if you have all the money in the world. This platform does not generate money anywhere, because there are very few who would come with external money to give tips here. Generally the tips we give come from the same income that you already obtained here.
I did not like something in his farewell, and it is that he says that he did not fulfill his goal of spreading BCH throughout the world. I think that he is not right in what he says, since, in my point of view, BCH has been widely disseminated thanks to platforms like this, only that the price and the current market are getting worse every day, in addition to the bad reputation that already has the coin, by the BTC maximalists.
It's time to wait for things to improve or finish selling the BCH. Marc sold almost all of his BCH many months ago, he was right, at least until then. You can be a fan and have hope, but at the same time we have to be realistic, and the reality is different, and it is very sad.
See you tomorrow.
People still telling you to HODL are doing the same themselves.
The bottom is a long ways down. The reality I see is inflated mid-market prices.
Exchanging money doesn't equate to losing crypto. That only happens if you buy back in higher than you sold, otherwise you make profit in crypto and thus fiat equivalent.
Always best to go with YOUR instincts and let people gamble their own money away, and have no delusions, in this market, all investments are a gamble.
