The second largest meteorite hole in the world, which caused the dinosaurs to become almost extinct!
About 75 million years ago today, a meteorite with a diameter of 11 to 61 kilometers hit the earth, killing about 75 percent of the earth's life. The force of the blow was so great that it caused a hole about 150 kilometers in diameter. And the wounds of this injury are still lingering in the world. The hole was located in the Yucatán Peninsula, near the Mexican city of Chicxulub.
However, it is a misconception that all the dinosaurs became extinct because of this. We have a lot of misconceptions about dinosaurs, I will tell the details in the next post.
