Quick question about BCH wallets and lending platforms and such. So technically I hooked Noise with Nexo so any earnings that I get from the platform keeps accumulating and producing daily interests. However, this is a bit annoying in the sense that everyday I got a new transaction due to the daily interest earned, which means that I have to declare them at the end of the year in my taxes... I wonder if is it better to then switch to other wallet and accumulate there while the bch earnings are low, then move to nexo once I got a big bag. Thoughts? #nexo #bch #noise #randonthoughts

It has been quite some time since the last time I posted here. Been quite busy on a full ecommerce digital transformation... The team of FEDs (FrontEnd Developers) is trying to create a checkout experience in 2 weeks or so. The client previously did this in the period of a year and half... but "Hey! Sure you can do in less than a month right?" Anyways... I just had a look a some code, and the implementation and I have to say that I hate when people put the code on their repository and they are yeah this is the [Super bare minimum] usage. There you go. It's blazingly fast! (because obviously nowadays everything is blazingly fast in the tech space) Can you look into create an example, put the code on codesanbox or something of the like so then people can interact and play around with it? Hmmm I reckon this is one of the thing I wish github could do better. I mean now it's owned by Microsoft... so technically they: - Created Typescript - Created VSCode IDE - Created Azure - Bought Github Nothing could stop them to create smaller containers and deploy them at will into some sort of integrated cloud environment... (Wait... Is this what Vercel/Netlify/codesanbox/.... are?) A little bit of 2 more working days until the xmas miracle which to me are the holidays where I could - potentially - disconnect from everything until next year, roast under the sun, and dip a bit in the pool (yeah... no snow here in down under folks) Cool. I had to say it as it was driving me a bit crazy. In any case, have a wonderful time. I hope to write more about crypto in general soon! Iggy out!

So I started to blog again in publish0x. This time more frequently. And also started a podcast. Yes, A PODCAST! I did that in the past and it was so much fun. I was having a look at crypto games and some of them look really bad in terms of their UX/UI. I mean, sure idea is good , but man those copy-pasted assets are not doing any good. The only ones working are deck/card based games and probably mining simulation... I even found one where you can boost up your earnings just by withdrawing in some other coin rather than usd. Then changing that back to usd from the wallet platform allow you to get around 30% extra. The Bullish Ethereum Merge Pump Note: Well, this is something I had in my mind for quite some time and I wanted to write it down. Finally got some time and here it is. I hope you enjoy and feel free to comment. I'm trying to get used to write articles on a regular basis and get better at it. So thanks in advance! The transition from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake (POS) puts some big questions marks on the second biggest blockchain (in terms of market cap). To my mind the biggest are: How this merge is going to affect all the miners (that spent a ridiculous amount of time effort and money to compete with each other trying to solve the mystery of the block and earn the sweet rewards)? Will miners split the Ethereum blockchain again (Ethereum Classic, Ethereum X, then Ethereum)? (Looks like there will be a coca cola kind of issue here... which one will you go for: coca cola classic, zero, diet/light, ... ?) Will miners go to Ethereum classic? If so, are we expecting to see a massive pump in ETC? Will miners move to other similar blockchain? The only issue with this is that the miners bought specific ASICs. ASIC stands for Application Specific Integrated Circuit which means that it will only run a specific program (normally the one that solves the ETH POW problems). Can miners flash and reuse the ASIC? Will other blockchains try to get advantage of this situation and try to be the target of these miners by adopting the old ETH way?  In terms of POS, other blockchains implemented this approach first and worked like a charm. People were able to stake their coins without issues. Do not get me wrong! I'm not saying that one blockchain is better than another. Every blockchain is different (programming language, business model, approach, scalability, roadmap, etc.) But, so far, in order to be eligible to stake ETH2 you need to lock 32ETH. Well, I don't know about you, but unfortunately I don't have ~USD$64k laying around (also worth mentioning that the lock is set until specific date so, you will not be able to retrieve them prior the date. Yikes!). So, so far for me, ETH2 staking is way out of the map. Now... not everything is bad news. POS brings better usage of the network and allows to use less resources from the machines. However, another issue that I still have not figured out is how this merge will affect the gas fees. Mainly because users can set gas fees higher than normal to get their transaction validated first. So, will ETH2 still allow this situation? If so, does this mean that ETH is limited in terms of TPS and the only way to mitigate this is by paying more fees? I guess scalability should solve this problem, and yes... POS brings a lot of benefits, but I still wonder in terms of scalability how well designed this change has been done and if there are any trade offs. And those last ones scare me... a lot. Even though we can see on the roadmap that gas fees have been left out to one of the last bits on the blockchain (whoopsie!) https://ethereumroadmap.com/ To me, trading "being the first in the market" for "verification, validation and security of the solution" is never a good approach. In this line of work, doing well these thing once and addressing them first, saves lots of patching, maintenance and costs! Remember that at the end of the day, many people use this technology to gamble and try to get rich quick. So not addressing problems with security lead most of the time big shocking news about hacking (Oh noes!) Ok so... To sum up, in the long term, everything looks super bullish, but I wonder if people will follow this massive pre merge pump. To me this seems to be the classic "buy the rumors, sell the news" but who knows!? Thanks for reading this and hopefully we see each other on the other side of the metaverse! Today I received an unexpected email from uphold. It is for registering for a webinar but the good bit is that is it about Cardano. Apparently uphold has been doing work on the background to integrate the Cardano blockchain. This means that you can deposit, withdraw and stake assets with the platform! Well the last part was already there but withdrawals??? That the good bit. Knowing that Cardano has lower fees than Ethereum based networks that opens some opportunities! Not saying it will pump but it is at least a sign of good faith in the tech behind ( even though some people say that Cardano is a ghost chain or is a religion without tech... Ok... A little update on my side as many things are happening around me and I needed a time to reflect... TL;DR; (or Too Long, Didn't Read): - I will rework my own website with proper tech - Plan to create blog with series of articles (crypto, web, etc) - Commit to my goals and align for bigger picture Now for the bigger version. I had my domain with a poor app that I created and told myself. It's ok. I'll come back to this after. It has been several months. Sure life happens but still. I wanted to have a proper website where I could dump my brain over there. I wanted to be fast for me to edit or create content. I remember creating a voice to text mini app for this (fully working) and same thing happened. I left it there. After the couple past weeks at work I started to take more and more responsibilities and I reached a point where I could create some blog post about architecture and things, not only for me, but for anyone going through the same how-can-i-do-this problems. Also, we are struggling with mental health. The project is a lengthy one and everyone is paying it. I can see it on the behavior on some colleagues and it is not good. Mental health is serious and I would say that if you ever start to think that you are going burnout or not, then it's too late. We need to be on a good shape physically and mentally to be able to perform on the highest of our capabilities. Otherwise we produce results but, trust me, you can see the difference in the quality. I said "No more!", I need to commit to what I say and action this! I said in the past to get 1 bch here on noise cash and somehow something went wrong. But it's ok I guess. I do really want to make it happen, and write technical posts about crypto and web. That's my passion (I really do love tech!) Two days ago I started laying out a plan of blog post topics that I wanted to talk about. Some are hot topics, some others... meeeeeh... not that much. Here is the list for the few next topics: - Biggest opportunity in cryptoland - The ethereum merge (Risks and Consecuences) - Vasyl Hard Fork = $1ADA - Bitcoin IS020022 - CryptoTaxes - Storylines (my hacker-like game) - bWell (my self development and mental health app) Of course I don't want to flood the system with many posts with no quality but I will use some time (mostly either early mornings or late nights) to work on these. And I know I'm not a good writer but I think if I practice that skill I could be at least a decent one. So there you have it. This is my brain on a Saturday night in sunny Brisbane (Australia).
