Stop Calling Hardworker LUCKY

Life is not a raffle where you get things by luck. Life is about earning things. You need to earn trust, you need to earn love for yourself, you need to earn respect, you need to earn your dreams, and you need to earn experiences. It takes a bunch of hard work to develop a good character. It took courage to try new things and to test our limits.

I hate people calling other people lucky for getting a scholarship, I hate people calling other people lucky for getting a good loving partner, and I despise it so much when someone says "You are lucky to have a good family".

First and foremost, people should learn to know the deep meaning of value or price before uttering the word lucky. It was never a by chance to be a scholar who maintains a grade and meets the university's expectations and requirements. Family planning requires a lot of effort just to give children a better life. It took so much investment of time, emotion, and love to maintain a relationship. Calling people lucky about things they work hard for is an insult in sugar coat. You are discrediting people's efforts.

I hope that instead of telling people they get things by luck, try to acknowledge their hard work and congratulate them. Learn to clap for others when it is not yet your time. Give them the appreciation they deserve, don't be so despiteful because you did not get your way. You'll have your time soon.

Being appreciated for something you worked hard for is already a reward. I am not telling you to pretend to appreciate things but I want you to see the value of hard work in other people's life because maybe by that you'll learn more.

I have learned the importance of experience because I watch people when they talk about things they love and work on them. It makes me want to do my job just like how they do. When you start to look at others while they work on their job, how they talked about their dreams, and how they artistically find a way to get what they want, -you will be surprised what a dedicated person can do. Observed how people on medical courses study in the library, try to be friends with their smartest classmates, and try to be friends with the last rank in your class who never gives up on improving. You can see very diverse people who work hard on their own. You can never say the word "lucky" because you will understand why they deserve the award they have.

We are growing older and things are getting tough in our ends, I hope we won't depend on luck but rather we always work hard to put the right and logical plan for our lives.

This is such an interesting perspective and I totally agree. Hardwork really goes a long way and people hardly appreciate that and only see the results. It's sad that people really just call our achievements luck just because it doesn't happen to them and maybe make themselves feel better. Nonetheless, let's keep hustling and work for the things we want to happen. Godspeed!
