What does it take to be a good citizen?

2 36

Honestly, it's a little baffling to me. When it comes to being a good citizen, the goals and scales are completely unlike. A citizen is a member of a country or community that is governed by physical rules of society or ethics whose primary goal is to avoid suffering and earn a physical gain. When it comes to being morally upright, it's about following a code of conduct based on the pursuit of truth, love, advancement, and spiritual growth. Neither can exist at the same moment. You can't be a decent citizen if society is evil; in such a case, you have to follow your morals instead of society's rules in order to be a moral person.

People aren't defined by their citizenship or socioeconomic rank if society is a decent one. If you're a nice person who doesn't care about society, then you're a good person, but being a citizen is useless. For those who want to strive to strike a balance between the two, as I believe you do. Individual progress and goodness may suffer as a result of every action we do for the greater benefit of society. Similarly, if more and more of our decisions are based on our own preferences rather than those of others, we lose our sense of ourselves.

One who is a good citizen is one who exemplifies the virtues of fairness, tolerance, respect, and individual freedom. A person who does more than merely start discussions; one who actively works to improve the lives of others around him or her. Does this include, for example, community service and other activities?

A responsible citizen is one who is well-versed in the issues at hand. He or she is aware of the need of keeping up with current events in both the nation as a whole and the local areas in which they live. It is the duty of a good citizen, who lives in accordance with the laws of the land, to care for and feed his family, to raise his children to be responsible citizens who obey the law, pay their taxes, and contribute to the preservation of the environment, to exercise his right to vote and to act in accordance with established principles of fairness, justice, and morality.

If everyone did what a good citizen does, then the city, nation, globe, etc. would be better. The absolute bottom line is abiding by the law and actively engaging in governance. One of the most important qualities of a citizen is the ability to quietly model good conduct and civic involvement while still being actively engaged. Participate, assist, and organize.

The common good is served by his actions, but he does not sacrifice his own interests in the process. He treats everyone with dignity and respect, and he believes that everyone has the right to be blessed in their own manner, as long as it does not interfere with the rights of others.

Overall, paying taxes on time is an important part of being a good citizen. Has a significant impact on government policy, especially on voting procedures. He or she abides by the country's laws and constitution. Do not allow others to break the law. Donates to the Relief Funds and is dedicated to the well-being of his loved ones and the greater community. Lastly, a good citizen has a strong sense of patriotism and is willing to die for his nation if necessary.

in my opinion and to be straight forward, it takes obedience to the country's laws and constitution to be a good citizen. Sometimes, what applies to being a good citizen in one country do not exactly applies to one in another. But largely the rules are almost the same.
