Steamed Pumpkin - Just arrived home from evening searching mission of my lost cat "Black Eyes". Need to be home earlier as it looks like to have rain and quite windy. Don't want to have dinner and need something that can fill my hungry and serve me as snack or sweet treat. Great that I got one fruit of pumpkin from my garden. So I cut, clean and steam it for 10 -15 minutes to soften the texture of pumpkin at the way I love to eat. You can also boil the pumpkin but I prefer steamed pumpkin as it is not soaky wet. Steamed pumpkin is very tasty with light sweet and creamy texture. So great to have it for dinner and be my sweet treat on a windy, rainy day . #FoodPhotography

Where I'm from we called the squash like that you eat, "winter squash", while the big orange skinned squash that was better suited for just carving into jack-o-lanterns was called, "pumpkin". But whatever you call it, you're correct; it's yummy! Winter squash, (or pumpkin), is my favorite vegetable.
