The rain has stopped, but the weather is still pleasant, with plenty of sunshine. I began my day by picking up fruits and veggies from my parents' land and garden early in the morning. I spent the morning gathering up these Karonda Fruit, also known as Carissa Carandas. These fruits are halfway to becoming fully ripe, with dark pink color and softer flesh. But I love the unripe Karonda Fruits, which have a sharp, sour flavor and are greenish-white to pink in color before becoming dark crimson or purple when fully ripe, revealing a rich liquid content within with a delicious sweet flavor. The nutritional profile of the karonda plant is pretty outstanding, as it is high in vitamin C, B vitamins, and iron, all of which help to flush out free radicals and treat anemia. What are your plans for today?

Wow, Andy. Those fruit are so beautiful. I’ve never heard of them. Blessings.
This fruit is quite common in India.
Never taste Karonda yet. How does is taste? Sour but maybe a little sweet too...
