Longan Fruit - Longan tree is one of biggest fruit trees in my garden. I planted this longan tree probably 7 years ago when acquired the land. For langan tree will take 2-3 years to start flowering then fruiting. I understand that this longan tree was not well take care by me in the past as I only need a shade from tree not its fruit. Since the pandemic that I am at home and no longer travel. I have more free time in the garden, the natural compost was properly added to the longan tree with adequate water. This year is a great achievement for me as it is the first year of its flower blossom then fruiting. Flowering blossom of longan is a great source of nectar for honey bee. For anyone who don't acquaintance with longan fruit will probably wondering of how it looks like. The langan fruit will be white, round with hard dark brown seed. It looks like an eyeball when the fruit shell is peeled off. Longan fruit is rich in Vitamin C and one ounce of fresh longan fruit will provide you with 40 percent of the recommended daily value of Vitamin C. The fruit is sweet with unique fragrance but yet low in calories, carbs and zero free fat. And I would be great to show you its fruits once it is well ripe. #MyGarden
